For the third successive year, Wormbete has finished in as a top ten finalist in the Heifer Challenge which is held as part of the Stock and Land Beef Week.
The pen of 10 heifers entered by Wormbete were inspected by Judge, Mr Bob Dent on the first day of the Beef Week program. All 10 2014 drop heifers were in calf to AI sires, with some forming part of the sale team for the upcoming Wormbete Simmental Sale on Friday 3 March.
Wormbete was the only Simmental stud to make the finals in a competition involving 49 studs and over 10 breeds of cattle. Wormbete Simmentals congratulates the overall Champion, Boonaroo Angus, Victoria and the Reserve Champion, Eloora Shorthorns of Bulart.
